CORDELE — Funeral services for Jerry “Bud” Aspinwall, 65, were held at 2 p.m., Friday, Oct. 9, 2015 in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home. Burial followed in Sunnyside Cemetery. Rev. Chuck Keenan officiated the services. “Daddy’s Hands,” “He Stopped Loving Her Today” and “Amazing Grace” were played during the service.
Pallbearers were: George Royal, Brison Parker, Charles Lancaster, Nathan Zeigler, Roger Nutt and Rob Underwood.
Mr. Aspinwall passed away at Crisp Regional Hospital Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2015. He was a native of Leesburg, Fl. and the son to the late William Henry “Buck” Aspinwall and the late Edna Louise York Aspinwall. He was a member of Third Street Baptist Church of Cordele and a retired contractor for Alcon Construction Company. He also enjoyed fishing.
Mr. Aspinwall was survived by his wife: Maurice Aspinwall of Lilly, Ga.; daughters: Sheila Parker and her husband Kevin, Teresa Aspinwall and Sandy Aspinwall Smith all of Cordele, Ga.; brother: Scottie Aspinwall and his wife Donna of Pitts, Ga.; sisters: Shirley Powers and her husband Marvin of Cordele, Ga., Diane Dixon and her husband Gary of Cordele, Ga.; grandchildren: Tiffany Parker, Brison Parker, Chase Lancaster, Cole Lancaster and Tate Spires; great-grandchild: Aden Jackson; nieces and nephews: Kim Underwood, Amber Aspinwall, J.R. Aspinwall, Jacob Dixon and Johnny Dixon; step-sons: Adam Alewine of Savannah, Ga., Allen Alewine of Cordele, Ga., Andrew Alewine of Vienna, Ga. and Brian Law of Adel, Ga.
