CORDELE – Brenda Allison Hortman, 54, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 30, 2016 in the chapel of Hughes and Wright Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 1 hour before the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hortman was born in Cordele, Ga. to Walter Kenneth Allison and the late Eleanor Ruth Harnage Allison. She was a former school bus driver and a para-pro for special needs children for the Macon Co. School System. Mrs. Hortman was currently a QV Supervisor for Big Tex Trailers. She was a member of the Baptist faith and enjoyed her family, gardening, yard work and her dog Binky.

Mrs. Hortman is survived by her daughter: Ashley Brannen of Cordele, Ga.; father Walter Kenneth Allison and his wife Carrie Mae Brooks Allison of Cordele, Ga.; sister: Patricia Neumans of Warner Robins, Ga.; nieces: Kristy Branch and her husband Fred of Warner Robins, Ga. and Nikki Neumans of Cordele, Ga.; great-nieces and great-nephews: Landon Register, Taylor Branch and Kaylee Branch; step-sisters: Jenny Edalgo and her husband Stevie, Joy Thompson and her companion Scott Hendricks; and Jan McCarty and her husband Mike; and step-nieces and step-nephews: Taylor Edalgo, Russ Thompson, Meagan Hancock and Morgan McCarty.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial gifts may be made to Wenona Baptist Church, 261 Ga. Highway 33 S, Cordele, GA 31015.
