Rosemary Sims

CORDELE — Rosemary Sims, 63, passed away Friday, Dec. 16, 2016 at Crisp Regional Hospital.  Chapel funeral Services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 19, 2016 at Sunnyside Cemetery. Bro. Jerry Phillips officiated the services. Jodie Manders, soloist, sang “Celebrate Me Home” and “Amazing Grace My Chains Are Gone.” Also, “Wind Beneath My Wings” was played.

Honoring Rosemary by serving as active pallbearers: Keith Barrett, John Pye, Calvin Cole, James Brown, Jeff Sims, David Manders, and Lee Barrett.

Rosemary was a retired License Practical Nurse. She enjoyed home healthcare with her patients for Crisp Regional Hospital. She was a member of Cordele First Baptist.

Rosemary is survived by her brother: Jerry Sims of Cordele; her sisters: Nita Hobbs of Macon and Janie Croom and her husband Marc of Rincon, Ga.; her nieces and nephews: Tanya Russell and her husband Steve of Stanford, N.C., Michelle Mercer and her husband (Jeff) of Macon, Keith Barrett and Lee Barrett and his wife Jean all of Lake Park, Ga.; her great-nieces and nephews: Matthew Russell and Mitchell Russell both of Stanford, N.C., Sarah Barrett of Lake Park, Ga. and Holly Mercer of Macon; and a special friend: Sherry Manders of Cordele.

The family suggests that memorial contribution may be made to a favorite charity.
