CORDELE — Police here are investigating yet another break-in at a local law firm.
The office of Melton J. Culpepper, who also serves as the Municipal Court Judge for the City of Cordele, was broken into sometime over the weekend, although it’s not clear as to whether anything was taken.
Employees at the firm told police that when they arrived for work Monday morning, they noticed that the contents of several desks had been rummaged through and several items were strewn across the floor.
The employees weren’t able to tell whether anything had been taken when the initial report was made. The case was turned over to the police department’s detective division.
At least two other law firms in downtown Cordele also were burglarized over the weekend. A gun and a small amount of cash were the only items reported missing.
