Cordele student wins state honors

ATLANTA - A Cordele man is among four South Georgia Technical College students who placed in the recent Georgia Phi Beta Lambda statewide competition here.
Rod Byrom of Cordele and Terrence Mann of Americus won first place in Marketing Concepts (team event) and second place in Battle of the Chapters.
Charles Brooks of Americus also was a first place winner in the Human Resource Management competition.
Another SGTC student, Procethia Jenkins of Lumpkin, won third place in Sports Management.
Mann also earned fifth place honors in International Business.
All first and second place winners are eligible to compete in the PBL National Competition in Atlanta in June.
Phi Beta Lambda is a national organization for college students who have an interest in business.
The main goal of the organization is to develop competent, aggressive business leaders.
Donna Lawrence serves as the PBL Advisor at SGTC.
