“I am looking forward to some leisure time with my husband and grandchildren,” said Evelyn Dowell at a reception honoring her on her retirement from the Crisp County tax assessor’s office. Dowell is retiring after 27 years with the county. She worked 23 of those years in the tax commissioner’s office before going to work in the tax assessor’s office.
