Upset during a dispute she and her husband were having, a 37-year-old local woman extensively damaged her own vehicle in a May 8 incident at the family residence.
Cordele Police Department records show Patrolman Winston Haynes was dispatched to 707 20th Ave. W. just after 9 p.m. to investigate the disturbance.
The officer said he found an intoxicated Rashida Fields had set her own car on fire and also broken its windshield. She then resisted arrest when Haynes and other officers attempted to take her into custody.
Fields subsequently was charged with obstruction of law enforcement officers and disorderly conduct.
That incident was one of seven disturbances recently responded to by officers.
