Four more persons have been arrested for shoplifting at Walmart, according to a Cordele Police Department press release covering the period between Friday and Tuesday.
Chikora Lundy, 21, of 509 Gregory St., and Mercedez Lango, 24, of 505 Fifth Ave. W., were charged in one of two incidents officers were called to investigate on Tuesday.
In addition to the shoplifting charge, Lundy also was charged with giving false identity and was named on an active warrant as well. An additional case of interference with government property was made against Lango for unspecified damage she did at the police station.
Also charged with shoplifting for taking items from Walmart without making payment for them were Timbrika Bankston-Nolan, 19, of Ja’lisa Jackson, 22, both of Albany.
In other activity during the five-day period covered by the press release, officers:
— Cited Sheila Cross, 43, of 305 14th Ave. W., for criminal trespass after a disturbance involving the suspected girlfriend of her ex.
— Booked William Jones, 21, of 1204 10th St. S., for theft of mislaid property after allegedly picking up a cell phone that a woman had dropped and then placing it in his pocket.
— Made a marijuana possession charge against Kelcey Smith, 22, of 305 10th St. S.
— Picked up five persons named on an assortment of warrants.
Those taken into custody were Nicole Luckey, 35, of 1504 S. Pecan St., on a failure to appear in city court warrant, Wesley Crenshaw, 34, of 1542 20th Ave. E., and Morgan Griffin, 23, of 614 13th Ave. E., on Crisp County warrants.
Also, Michael Roe, 26, of 313 Fourth Ave. E., on a Lee County warrant and Eric Young, 25, of 101 Seventh St. S., on a probation violation warrant.
— Levied a disorderly conduct charge against two women involved in separate offenses.
Monica Reese, 32, of 409 Ninth Ave. W., was charged with that offense for calling 911 several times for no reason.
Shayla Anderson, 34, of 401 Meadow Dr., was taken into custody following an argument with her boyfriend.
— Filed charges of excessive volume from a motor vehicle and disorderly conduct after making a traffic stop.
