ROCHELLE — The Mudcats didn’t become the first team to beat the Legends this season when the teams met recently but they didn’t become another of their victims either.

The two teams battled to a 6-6 draw in a game that also included an equal number of hits (7) and errors (2).

RayKevin Peterson singled to drive in Langston Sapp, who had walked, and Sean Iglesias, who had singled, to give the Mudcats a 6-4 lead heading into the last of the sixth and final frame.

The Legends put together a two-out rally, though, when Grayson Farrow tripled and Drew Ellis walked to put runners on the corners. They eventually scored on a wild pitch and passed ball, respectively, to knot matters when the game was halted by the time limit imposed.

Nolan Moorhouse worked all six innings for the Mudcats, striking out seven and walking four. Iglesias and Ricky Troutman had two hits each for that team.

Farrow, Drew Ellis and Caleb Cornell all logged mound time for the Legends, combining for 11 strikeouts and five walks. Farrow stroked a triple and single and Ellis belted a double and single to lead the offense.
