Fullington divides its ninth doubleheader of the season

Valdosta —  When Fullington Academy’s basketball teams continued their recent trends in Tuesday night competition against Highland Christian, the result was the school’s ninth hardwood split of the season.

In their last five games, the Lady Trojans have established a pattern of win-lose, win-lose with the latest result being a 59-20 victory over a Highland Christian team they had beaten 53-15 five nights earlier.

In their seventh straight start and for the ninth time in their last 10 outings, the Trojans came up short. The score here against a squad that had defeated them 60-56 last Thursday in a make-up scrap was 51-40.

Both Fullington teams will close out regular season play at home Friday when they observe Senior Night against Georgia Christian which holds the No. 2 seeds for next week’s Region 3-A GISA tournament to be played at Crisp Academy.
