Cougar cagers bow to Eagles

Warner Robins — The one time Class AAAA Crisp County High will see Class AAAAA Northside Warner Robins up close on the basketball court came Tuesday night and it was enough, thank you.

The host Eagles flew past coach Terry Smith’s Cougars 70-55 after the Lady Eagles had soared to an even bigger 61-33 triumph over coach Barrett Wilkes’ Lady Cougars.

With the non-region losses, the Crisp teams had their overall records altered to 11-10 (boys) and 12-10. After crucial Region 1-AAAA games last night at Westover, they’ll close out regular season play with road games on Friday at Americus-Sumter and on Saturday at Dooly County.

For complete game details and coaches' quotes, please see our Thursday, Feb. 6, issue.
