From Highland Park High School in Dallas, Tex., to the University of Georgia in Athens, to the Detroit Lions of the NFL, Matthew Stafford has always drawn rave reviews for his quarterback play.
There’s another Stafford quarterback around now and he, too, is drawing attention galore to himself as a prep star at Monroe High where his performances on the gridiron have led to numerous Division I offers.
Crisp County High’s Cougars will get an up-close look at Tornadoes star Charles Stafford tomorrow night in Albany and just how well they fare in keeping him under control will likely hold the key to their victory chance.
“He’s a good one,” Crisp coach Lee Campbell said in lauding Stafford. “His talents and their speed at the skill positions are the things that impress me most about Monroe."
