CORDELE — On August 27, 2015, the Crisp County Sheriff’s Office, Mid-South Narcotics Task Force and the Cordele Probation Department served arrest warrants on various individuals in Crisp County for distributing illegal narcotics, The operation began with information received as part of the “See Something, Say Something” campaign.
During the operations Crisp County Deputies and agents with the Mid-South Narcotics
Task Force targeted local drug distributors making undercover purchases of methamphetamine, cocaine and hydrocodone.
Thursday night deputies and agents stated serving arrest warrants on the defendants of various drug charges. The defendants arrested so far are”
Thirty nine year old Arthur Starnes charged with three counts of selling hydrocodone a scheduled II narcotic, twenty six year old Jennifer Shorter charged with sale of methamphetamine, Twenty six year old Morgan Griffin charged with two counts of selling methamphetamine and Forty one year old Albert Middlebrooks, Jr. charged with sale of cocaine. More arrests will be mad in this operation.
Sheriff Billy Hancock states that when he was elected Sheriff of Crisp County he made a commitment to help keep Crisp County safe. This operation is just part of the many initiatives this agency has started to return our communities to their law abiding citizen.
