Trio caught with drugs at car wash

CORDELE — On Friday, August 28, 2015 deputies were conducting security checks on businesses on 16th Avenue inside the city limits of Cordele. At the car wash in the 300 block of 16th Avenue, deputies noticed 3 males looking in a black bag. As officer Duckworth approached the men, he noticed one had a blunt in his hand that contained marijuana.
Deputy Purvis assisted Deputy Duckworth in identifying the males and the contents of the black bag. The bag contained over 4 ounces of marijuana packaged in sandwich bags.
All three suspects were arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana with the intent to distribute. Arrested were 31 year old Marcus Marshall, 45 year old James Brown and 32-year old Christopher Pratt all of Cordele. Pratt’s stated that his vehicle was being washed and that it had a gun in it. Incident to the arrest, deputies took possession of the gun and allowed his mother to take possession of the vehicle.
