CORDELE — A Celebration of Life service for Ann C. Stembridge, 71, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 9, 2015 in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until time of the service.
Mrs. Stembridge passed away Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Crisp Regional Hospital. She was a native of Vienna, Ga. Mrs. Stembridge was preceded in death by her parents J. D. Crozier and Doris Andrews Crozier, her husband Jimmy Stembridge and a son Ritchie Stembridge , her brothers Ronald Crozier and Johnny Crozier.
Mrs. Stembridge was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. She retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture FSA as a program technician following over 30 years of service. She also was involved with the Ga. Association of County Office Employees (GASCOE) and the Retired Association of State and County Employees (RASCOE) each of which are associated with the GA Dept of Agriculture. After her retirement, she went to work for Georgia Ag Crop Insurance as an administrative assistant. She attended ABAC and loved to travel.
She was a member of the Red Hat Society as well as a member of the Byromville Women’s Club. She served in many capacities on the Turkey Creek Festival Planning Committee and supported and worked with the Byromville United Methodist Women’s Group.
Mrs. Stembridge is survived by her brother Ricky Crozier of Vienna, Ga., a sister, Velma Jackson of Bartow, Fla. and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was also survived by her beloved dog, Bridget.
