100 mile yard sale set

UNADILLA/QUITMAN — From Unadilla south to Quitman, one of Georgia’s largest yard sales is planned for Saturday, October 10 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., rain or shine.
Shoppers at the  annual “100 Mile Peanut Pickin’ Yard Sale may begin on U.S. Hwy. 41 in Unadilla and travel south to Vienna. Vendors will be set up along Hwy. 41 through Cordele, then the shopping path will turn onto Hwy. 33 south of town and go through Sylvester, then loop through downtown Moultrie.
Then the yard sale will follow 133 through Berlin, and 333 to Quitman.
Anyone who wishes to set up a booth and sell wares should notify the contact person in his or her should contact their local chamber.
The 100 Mile Peanut Pickin’ Yard Sale is a tourism effort to promote the region and an opportunity to showcase these cities to visitors who may purchase a home or start a business.
Vendors will be featuring antiques, collectibles, hidden treasures, handmade furniture and so much more. The bargain shopping is the main attraction, but visitors also will be able to enjoy exploring charming towns and communities, the scenic countryside, famous historic sites, delicious regional cuisine and welcoming Southern hospitality.
