Martha L. Wade

CORDELE –Martha L. Wade passed away Friday, Nov. 13, 2015 at her residence. Funeral services were held Monday, November 16, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Antioch Baptist Church. Dr. John Smith officiated the service. Linda Bennett played the piano for the service and accompanied Ann Teague as she lead the congregation in singing “What a Friend We Have In Jesus” and “Amazing Grace”.
Pallbearers were: Brandon Cody, Chris Collins, Stuart Allum, Taylor Allum, Alex Menchaca and Caleb McLemore.
Mrs. Wade was born in Cordele, Ga. to the late Paul Ray and the late Nora Stephens Ray. Mrs. Wade graduated from East Crisp School. She was a retired sewing machine operator for Cordele Uniform Company and a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She also served as a Pink Lady with Crisp Regional Hospital for several years. She was predeceased by her husband Wiley Cecil Wade.
Mrs. Wade was survived by her son: Riley R. Wade and his wife Beth of McDonough, Ga.; daughter: Lydia Cecile DeBoer of Snellville, Ga.; grandchildren: Jennifer Allum and her husband Stuart, Christi Collins and her husband Chris, Kathy Cody and her husband Brandon; great-grandchildren: Wyatt Cody, Walker Cody, Carli Collins, Cora Collins, Cameron Collins, Taylor Allum, Becca Allum Menchaca and her husband Alex.
