CORDELE — Christmas is just around the corner.  In an effort to make sure no child is without a toy this Christmas, the local Georgia State Patrol Post 30 is sponsoring their annual Toys for Tots campaign.  The ultimate success of this program depends on the support of the local community and the generosity of the people who donate toys.
During December, the Georgia State Patrol will be working to collect new, unwrapped toys, and will distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in our local community.
The primary goal of this annual charitable event is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.
As part of their collection efforts, Post 30 is asking our local businesses, civic clubs, churches, and citizens to bring new, unwrapped toy donations to Cordele’s Annual Christmas Parade on Friday, December 4.  Troopers will stop their cars along the parade route to collect toys so let’s do what we can to fill their cars up with the joy of Christmas.
Toys For Tots is a Top-Rated Charity, and all donations goes to providing toys, books, and other gifts to less fortunate children in the community.
Toys for Tots drop off boxes will be located at multiple local businesses.
