King Edwin “Kingston” Benson

DALTON — King Edwin “Kingston” Benson, age 68, of 1306 Underwood Drive, Dalton, died Monday, December 7, 2015, at his residence.
Born in Americus, he was the son of the late Oscar Edwin Benson and Lavonia White Benson. He retired from Shaw Industries in Dalton after 29 years of service. Kingston loved gospel music.
He is survived by his sisters, Marilyn Black (Anthony) of Cartersville and Glenda Welch (Vaughn) of Woodstock; his brothers, Randy Benson (Cheryl) of Jacksonville, FL and Charlton Edward Benson (Valerie) of Pinehurst; 3 nieces; 3 nephews.
Funeral services will be at 3 PM Friday, December 11 in Pinehurst Baptist Church with interment in Harmony-Smyrna Cemetery.
The family will greet friends 2 – 3 PM Friday, December 11 in the church fellowship hall.
