Larry Westbrook

VIENNA — Larry Westbrook, age 93, of Vienna, died Tuesday, December 8, 2015, Pine Pointe Hospice in Macon.
Born in Bremen, Georgia, he was the son of the late Chester Lamar Westbrook and Bertha Massey Westbrook. He served his country with honor in the United States Army during World War II. He served two enlistments, 1940 – 1944 and 1949 – 1950. During his service, he was a driver for General Patton. He also received two purple hearts. Later, he and his wife owned and operated The Grill in Vienna. He also was the assistant manager of the Georgia State Farmers Market in Cordele. Larry was a member of Vienna First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Vicki Copeland (Jimmy) of Forsyth and his nieces, Claudette Wilkerson of Powder Springs and Wanda Wilkerson of Douglasville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Berma Wiggins Westbrook.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, December 12 in the chapel of Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Vienna. Interment with military honors will follow in Vienna City Cemetery.
The family will greet friends 9 – 11 AM Saturday, December 12 at the funeral home.
