CORDELE — Funeral services for Lee Raymond Bowen of Cordele were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 10, 2015 in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Services with Rev. Eldridge Bowen officiating.  Marcene Freeman, pianist, played soft music and accompanied herself and Rev. Royce Freeman as they sang “I’ll Meet You In The Morning”, “One Day At A Time” and “When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder.”  Jeff Presley closed the service with “When The Crops Are Laid By.”  Pallbearers were Raymond Gibbs, Randy Owens, Tony Owens, Chris Owens, Justin Owens and Donnie West.  Grandchildren and great-grandchildren served as honorary pallbearers.  The committal service followed in Ebenezer Cemetery.  Papa Bowen, 103, as he was affectionately known died Monday, December 7, 2015.  Arrangements are by Rainey Family Funeral Services.  An online guestbook is available at www.raineyfuneral.com
