Ann White Noble

VIENNA — Ann White Noble, age 74, of Dooly County went home to Heaven on Tuesday, February 16, 2016. Born Mary Ann White in Blackshear, Georgia on July 23, 1941, she was the third of four children born to Mildred Roberts White and John Bealle White.  Ann grew up mostly in the small town of Willacoochee, Georgia.  She was a 1959 graduate of Atkinson County High School and received her degree in education from The Women’s College of Georgia in 1963.  While student teaching at Blackshear Trail Elementary, she met and married Roy Noble, Jr. on November 24, 1963. She continued to teach until her first child was born and then devoted her time to raising her four children and serving in her church.  A strong Christian and an active member of Smyrna Baptist Church, she passionately taught the Word of God to many classes over the years. She returned to her teaching career after her children were all in school and retired from the Crisp County School System in 2001 to spend more time with her grandchildren.
Ann Noble was preceded in death by her parents Mildred Roberts White and John Bealle White, and mother and father in-law Myrtle and Roy Noble, Sr., brother, John Chappell White, and sister Linda White Bruner.
Ann Noble is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 52 years, Roy V. Noble, Jr. ,children Lori Noble Fortner and husband Bryon of Gatlinburg, TN, Jill Noble of Vienna and fiancé Paul Whiddon,  Nancy Noble Cotton and husband Craig of Vienna, Roy V. Noble, III and wife Jesse of Perry, grandchildren Abby and Wes Fortner, Chris and Calvin Cotton, Charlotte and Evelyn Noble, and one great-grandson, Carter Cotton, one sister, Millie White Boyett of Deland, FL, brother-in-law, Dale Bruner of Harriman, TN, sister-in-law Judy White of Mobile, AL, sister-in-law Angela Noble Gordy  and husband Ben of Columbus, GA, brother-in-law Johnny Noble and wife Beth, sister-in-law Elaine Noble Johnson  and husband Tracy all of Vienna, and many nieces and nephews.
