“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” Matthew 18:20

ABBEVILLE — With recent events that have plagued our nation and around the world, even right here close to home, Christian leaders from the area say the time has come… To pray.
A Community Prayer Team comprised of prayer warriors from Crisp, Dooly, Wilcox and surrounding counties have come together and care calling on all citizens to join with them in a time of prayer. A time to pray for our government on the local, state and national level. A time to pray for our children, our families our friends our churches and our schools. A time to pray for our schools and the safety of our children and loved ones. A time to pray for our brave men and women of service whether it be law enforcement officers and other first responders or our members of one of our branches of military service.
“Most of all we need to pray for revival in our land,” said Danny Allen, one of the coordinators of the event along with Danny Kimbrel. “This is a non-denominational event that is all about Jesus. Everyone, of every denomination is invited, encouraged to come and pray with us.”
The event will be held on Monday, February 29, 2016 at 7 p.m. on the Wilcox County Library Lawn across from the Wilcox County Courthouse in Abbeville.
“We need all citizens, male and female, young and old, all races, all denominations to come join together in prayer. Let’s take our community back. We need to come together as one Nation under God.”
