Donald Lamar Durden, age 69, of Flowery Branch, GA passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2016. He is survived by his special companion, Debra Hill; children, Chris and Rebecca Durden, Flowery Branch, GA, Blake Dematteo, Lancaster, PA; grandson, Abel Durden; stepchildren, Scott and Anysley Hill, Sharon and Sean Jameson, Nancy Hill; several half-sisters and brothers. Mr. Durden was born on January 16, 1947 in Macon, GA.
He was a graduate of Crisp County High School in Cordele, GA, attended Ga. Institute of Technology and Auburn University. He was a retired carpenter, an avid sports fan who loved football and an outdoorsman.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
