Stokes Delivers Ceremonial First Pitch

Back in Early November Crisp County Cougar Joseph Stokes terrible automobile accident paralyzed an entire community on the Junior Wide Receivers chances of even walking again. However, after much hard work by Joseph an entire community praying and a very dedicated staff of medical professionals at his side. Not only did Joseph walk but he threw out the first pitch at the Cougars first home game. God is good always!!!

The Crisp County Cougars hosted the always powerful Lee County Trojans Tuesday night in their home season opener.. The visiting Trojans won the contest 6-0.

The Cougars got a double from Will Carter and Grant Pheil  it was the only real offense. Jacob Hughes went 3 innings on the mound scattering 5 hits and 1 walk and 2 unearned runs. Austin Walls came on in relief pitching the 4th and 5th innings striking out 3 scattering 4 hits and no walks and 2 unearned runs. Next up for Crisp County was Dagan Kennedy who gave up one hit and no runs, no walks and no K’s. Finally in the 7th inning Brandon Thompson came in giving up 1 hit, no walks, 1 strikeout and 2 unearned runs. All in all Crisp County gave away 6 runs. “It is the little things that we are doing that is costing us,” said Coach Pate. “ We are pitching overall good enough to win but leaving runners stranded and mental errors are costing us.”
