Cougars beat Panthers

The Crisp County Cougars handed Americus High School Baseball  another mercy rule decision. Winning 17-7 the Cougars took advantage of the 8 errors Americus made.

Josh Powell started off the pitching for the Cougars and after retiring the first three batters of the game couldn’t find the strike zone in the 2nd inning. Powell beaned the next 3 batters for Americus and then walked the one. Brandon Thompson was brought into the game and he went the distance. Thompson spaced out 3 hits over 4 innings and 2 k’s and 4 walks to earn the win. On the Day the Cougars didn’t have but 4 hits.  The Cougars will be home Saturday in the Diamond Days event hosting both Tattnall and Archer in a round robin tournament starting at 11:00a.m. On the year Crisp is 3-3 overall and 3-0 in region play.12795473_10209116433653903_3076721820687241190_nthompson
