The Crisp County Cougars handed Americus High School Baseball  another mercy rule decision. Winning 17-7 the Cougars took advantage of the 8 errors Americus made.

Josh Powell started off the pitching for the Cougars and after retiring the first three batters of the game couldn’t find the strike zone in the 2^nd inning. Powell beaned the next 3 batters for Americus and then walked the one. Brandon Thompson was brought into the game and he went the distance. Thompson spaced out 3 hits over 4 innings and 2 k’s and 4 walks to earn the win. On the Day the Cougars didn’t have but 4 hits.  The Cougars will be home Saturday in the Diamond Days event hosting both Tattnall and Archer in a round robin tournament starting at 11:00a.m. On the year Crisp is 3-3 overall and 3-0 in region play.
