CORDELE — Jannace Ray Smith passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Crisp Regional Nursing and Rehab. She was born in Reynolds, Taylor County, GA and was the daughter of the late Rufus Alton and Erma Jean Cromer Ray.  She was an active member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Dooly County for many years but in recent months had attended Cordele Bible Baptist. Jannace loved children and always kept bubble gum with her to give to all that she came in contact with. She is survived by two sons and their wives, Curtis John Smith and Crystal Lynn Smith of Cordele and Nathan Ray Smith and Karen Gregory of Vienna; two brothers and their wives, Winifred and Donna Ray of Arabi and Wallace and Anita Ray of Eufaula, AL; a sister and her husband, Becky and Ernie Foster of Vienna;  and four grandsons, Brian Layman, Freddie Layman, James Layman and Hunter Layman.
