CORDELE – Funeral services for Ethelene G. Bailey, 91, will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Oklahoma Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Mrs. Bailey’s home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Wednesday, March 30, 2016.
Mrs. Bailey died Tuesday morning, March 29, 2016 at Crisp Regional Nursing & Rehab. She was born in Forsyth, Ga. to the late Toy C . Gravitt and the late Annie Simpson Gravitt. She is the widow of C. D. Bailey, Sr. She is also preceded in death by her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Lavonda Bailey.
She retired from Southern Bell after 27 years as a telephone operator. Mrs. Bailey was a member of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her son: Carl D. (Minnie) Bailey, Jr. of Cordele; a brother: Rinnard (Christine) Gravitt of Columbia, S.C.; her grandchildren: Derek (Amy) Bailey, Mark David Bailey, Jr., Alli (Matt) Brown and Evan Bailey; and two great-grandchildren: Adyson Bailey and Nolan Bailey.
