Still time to register to vote

CORDELE — The General Primary Election, non-partisan is set for May, 24 and citizens in Crisp County still have time to register to vote.
The deadline for registration is Tuesday, April 26. If you have not registered by this day you will not be able to vote. If you are unsure about your registration status contact the Elections Supervisor at (229)276-2611.
You can register to vote by stopping by the County Election Office located at 210 South 7th Street Room 103. You can also register to vote online at https://registertovote.sos.ga.gov A smart phone app is also available at that website for voting updates.
Absentee ballots are also available for those needing to vote in that capacity. The deadline to mail or issue an absentee ballot is Friday, May 20. Absentee ballots must be received in the elections office by Tuesday, May 24. UOCAVA absentee ballots for military/overseas citizens must be received by Friday, May 27.
Advanced voting will be held in the Crisp County Government Center Room 103 beginning Monday, May 2 until Friday, May 20 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m each day. Advanced voting will also be held at the Government Center Annex May 16-20 from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. each day.
Saturday voting will be held in the same location on Saturday, May 14 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Election day is Tuesday, May 24. All registered voters should vote in their assigned precinct from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. on that day.
