Precautionary Boil Water Notice lifted

CORDELE — The City of Cordele Public Works Department announced Thursday that the Precautionary Boil Water Notice issued to customers served by the Highway 90 water system, which was issued on Monday, April 11 has been lifted for all.

According to that department the system is now fully operational and all special samples collected were negative for coliform bacteria. In accordance with the Environmental Protection Division’s guidelines, there is no need for customers to continue to boil water prior to use for drinking, cooking or preparing baby food.

Highland Grange subdivision and the Crisp County Primary School were cleared Wednesday afternoon. Crisp County High School and businesses on Frontage Road were cleared Thursday morning.
