Pizza Hut robbed at gunpoint

CORDELE — Investigators with the Cordele Police Department are asking the public for assistance in the search for a suspect who reportedly robbed Pizza Hut Thursday night.
According to Detective Ketorie Sales with the CPD at approximately 10 p.m. a lone black male entered the restaurant. He went straight back to the cooler area and brought the manager up front. Brandishing a gun, he ordered the manager to open the safe, out of which he took an undisclosed amount of money and fled.
Sales says there were around six employees on duty, but no one was injured.
The suspect is described as being a black male, approximately 6’4” with a slender build and his hair in dreadlocks.
