CORDELE — Thursday marks the annual observance of the National Day of Prayer and citizens are encouraged to take part and pray for our communities, cities, our state and our nation.
Vienna will observe the National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 5 at 11:30 a.m. in the Downtown City Square. The public is invited and encouraged to take time out from their day and come take part in this special time of prayer. It is a non-denominational event.
A special National Day of Prayer Service will be held at Cordele First Baptist Church from 6-7 p.m. The church is located at 137 Kelly Road in Cordele. Childcare will be provided for children up to three years of age. This is also a non-denominational event and the public is invited to attend.
There will also be a group meeting for a time of prayer on the steps of the Crisp County Courthouse at 12 p.m. that day.
Anyone wishing to do so is invited to take part in any or all of these special observances honoring the National Day of Prayer.
