CORDELE — Several citizens have recently expressed concerns that some residents are confused about voting.
There are no contested Democratic races. When voting this month you must ask for a Republican or Democratic ballot.
The General Election will be held in November, at which time you may vote for whomever you choose, whether they are Democrat or Republican. In the General Election you will not be limited to one party or the other. For example if you wish to vote for a Democratic President and a Republican Senator (or vice versa) you may do so. Or if you wish to vote for a Democratic Commissioner and a Republican Sheriff (or vice versa) you may do so.
Early voting is going on now. Last day to vote in the Primary is May 24. Be sure to cast your vote in the Primary and in the General Election this November.
