ROCHELLE — Funeral services for Jan Marie Singletary of Rochelle were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2016 in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Services with Rev. Danny Allen officiating.
Soft music was played prior to the service and during the time the family received friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. The committal service  followed in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Bryant Nobles, Benji Horton, Jerry Carter, Zac Singletary, Jeff Carter, Rodger Singletary and George Singletary.
Jan, 62, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. She was born in Arlington, VA to the late James Edward Mixon and Jewell Anne Sutton Mixon. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Mixon.  Jan was an RN (RET) and a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and especially enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren. She was an active member of Vienna Church of God.
Jan is survived by her husband of 26 years, David Gilbert Singletary of Rochelle; a son and his wife, Bryant and Lenora Nobles of Omaha; a daughter and her husband, Connie and Andrew Donaldson of Cordele; six grandchildren, Anna Young, Zoe Bell, Noah Jackson, Benji Horton, Jackson Tolbert and Olivia Peyton Donaldson.
The family would appreciate memorials to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Tribute Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
