VIENNA — Sherry Wilkes, age 46, of 3151 Nellieville Road, Vienna, died Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Navicent Health in Macon.
Sherry was born in Augusta, Georgia on August 1, 1969. She was a member of Byromville Baptist Church. Her greatest love was spending time with her grandchildren. She also loved to sew. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Rusty Wilkes; her children, Brent Howell West, Brittany Nicole Gaultney, Russ Wilkes and Jeremy Wilkes; her parents, Henry Howell, Jackie Howell and Shirley Abbott; her sisters, Penny Aspinwall, Terri Odom, Melissa Forrister, Debbie Akridge, Darlene Brunson and Donna Gallagher; her brothers, Randy Akridge, Ronald Akridge and Mark Howell; her grandchildren, Hailey Gaultney, Connor Gaultney, Cole Gaultney and Adelyn West; her mother-in-law, Mary Ellen Wilkes; her sisters-in-law, Kathy Slappy, Katrina West and Angela Jimes; 87 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 4 pm Friday, May 13 in Byromville Baptist Church with interment in Oliver Cemetery.
The family will greet friends 2 – 4 pm Friday, May 13 in the church fellowship hall.
