MONTGOMERY, AL. — A Cobb man was killed Sunday afternoon in a motorcycle accident in Alabama.

Gary Wayne Tucker, age 64, was traveling with one of his sons when the accident occurred at the Interstate 85/65 interchange in Montgomery. Tucker was riding his 1995 Honda Goldwing when for reasons unknown he veered off of the roadway striking a concrete barrier. As a result of the impact Tucker was thrown off the motorcycle, over the barrier and landed on the median below.

Circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation.

Tucker, a retired plumber, was a talented musician playing bass, piano, guitar and steel guitar. He was a member of bands “Boot Hill Express” and “New Direction.” He played regularly for the Sowega Council on Aging, nursing homes and churches. He was also an avid motorcycle rider.
