WARNER ROBINS — A Vienna man, was killed Saturday, May 21 while walking down I-75 in Peach County.

According to reports from the Georgia State Patrol, Ashley Towns, age 39, was struck by a semi-truck in the vicinity of mile marker 144 at the Russell Parkway exit in Warner Robins just after 10 p.m.

Sgt. Craig Smith of the GSP said he was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Peach County Coroner.

Smith says the case is being investigated by the department. Investigators determined Towns was on the interstate, but they are uncertain if he was walking at the time he was struck.
