Jim Andrews Goff

DONALSONVILLE — Jim Andrews Goff, 91, husband of the late Jimmie Lou McAffee Goff, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Seminole Manor Nursing Home in Donalsonville, GA.

Memorial (graveside) services for Mr. Goff are planned for June 18, 2016 at 11 AM at the Rocky Mount Baptist Church, Ashburn Ga.

Born in Ashburn, Georgia, he was the son of the late James Joseph and Katie Lou Andrews Goff. Jim was self- employed as a farmer and was affectionately known as the “Water Melon King”. He was a veteran of WW II, having served in the U.S Army Infantry under General Patton and was a member of the Acorn Pond Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife and parents, Jim was preceded in death by an infant son, and a brother, Edsel Goff.

Surviving are a daughter, Jan Goff Anderson, Donalsonville, GA; two grandchildren, Rebekah Skipper Crawford, Donalsonville, GA, Joseph David Skipper, Atlanta, GA; two great grandchildren, Aidan Cleveland and Clara Grace Crawford; Several special nieces and nephews to include of his late brother, niece Dawne Goff, Blakely, GA and nephew Seaborn Goff, Albany, GA; sister-in-law, Marjorie Beard, Warrick, GA.
