Arvol Ladell Partain

ARABI — Graveside services for Arvol Ladell Partain were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at Zion Hope Cemetery Annex.  Rev. Will Archibald officiated the service. A prerecorded version of “What A Friend We Have In Jesus” by Mr. Partain’s son Ken was played.

Mr. Partain, 88, died at his residence Sunday morning, June 19, 2016. He was born in Commerce, Tex. to the late Roy Cletus Partain and the late Nina Mae Smith Partain. He was a tool design engineer for Bell Helicopter.  He was a member of the Bedford First Congregational Methodist Church in Texas, and attended Cordele First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of almost 70 years: Mary M. Partain of Arabi, Ga.; his sons: Ken (Julie) Partain of Arabi, Delwin (Helen) Partain of Cordele and John (Ann) Partain of Gruetli Laager, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family would also like to thank Albany Community Hospice and all the individual caregivers that came and assisted us.
