Ruth Hutchen Bloodworth

CORDELE — Ruth Hutchen Bloodworth, 90, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2016  at Crisp Regional Nursing & Rehab. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, July 17, 2016 in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home.

Mrs. Bloodworth was born in Clover, S.C., to the late Ernest Poteet and the late Mandy Thomas Poteet. She is preceded in death by two husbands, Daniel Hutchen and Thomas W. Bloodworth, Sr., and a son, Joseph Daniel Hutchen.

Mrs. Bloodworth was retired from the restaurant and hospitality industry.

She is survived by her children: James Robert (Mildred) Bloodworth of Jacksonville, Fla., Thomas W. Bloodworth of Locust Grove, Ga., Nelson (Charlene) Bloodworth of Oxford, Ga., David (Kelly) Bloodworth of Newnan, Ga., Mike (Laurie) Bloodworth of Covington, Ga. and John (Jo) Bloodworth of Cordele; 20 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
