Police name robbery suspect

CORDELE — The Cordele Police Department has released the name of the suspect apprehended after robbing King Tut’s Jewelry store Wednesday afternoon.

Police are waiting for warrants to be issued charging 37-year old Ross Brooks of Cordele with with Armed Robbery, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime.

Officials with the Crisp County Sheriff’s Office and Cordele Police Department worked together and were able to apprehend Brooks within 30 minutes of his crime.
