The Lady Wildcats scratched the Lady Generals of Georgia Christian up on Thursday afternoon, by a 7-4 score. This was a crucial region win for the Wildcats, in a region that should be very tight this year. Starting pitcher Josey “ Wales” Wessel the outlaw gunslinger pitcher who recently pitched a perfect game was on target most of the day and kept the Generals off balance enough to go the distance for the win. On the day Wessel struck out 8, walked 2, had one hit batter and 3 hits that she scattered over 7 innings and

only 2 earned runs. “She was pretty much on and always battled back when she got in a little jam,” said Head Coach Chuck Hester.

On the offensive side the Lady cats had three ladies with at least two hits Lauren Seabolt had 2 doubles; Maddie Reed was 2 for 4 and Terri Thompson added 2 hits as well in the victory. Senior outfielder Olivia Folds opened the game up in favor of the home team by blasting opposite field hit down the right field line and gained to RBI’s. All total the lady

cats gathered up 11 hits on the day. The victory moved the girls to 3-3 on the year with a 1-0 report card in region play. Next up the felines host Deerfield-Windsor on Monday at 6:00pm in a Varsity/ JV doubleheader. On Tuesday Community Christian visits for a 6pm game and on Thursday September 1, the ladies travel to Camilla to take on Westwood at 4pm in region action.claire olivia lauren
