Lady Cougars Top Tift Co.

The Lady Cougars played host to the Tift County Lady Blue Devils only they were not hospitable handing the 7A team a 7-4 whooping. Freshman Rilee Duckworth took the mound for the lady cats and kept the devils off balance by striking out 3 and walking 2 over 4 innings. She was relieved in the 4th inning by Hunter Meadows who walked 3 and had 4 k’s and no runs scored to get the win.

On offense the lady cats got a 3 for 4 performance with two singles and a triple from Freshman Riley Blampied. Meadows also added 3 hits and a stolen base.  Mia Murray and Shelby Cobb both went 2 for 3 in the Lady Cougars win.” The girls played well and worked through any mistakes made,” said Head Coach Ben Robbins.
