We have received word that due to weather warnings for the area tonight and into tomorrow officials have confirmed that Crisp County Schools will be closed Friday, September 2.
This includes all students and teachers.
Wilcox has not confirmed whether school will be in session in that district. The Cordele Dispatch is waiting to hear from officials in those areas. Wilcox officials are scheduled to meet this afternoon at 1 p.m. to make that decision.

Crisp County Cougar Football game against Turner County has been moved to Saturday. The time for that game has not yet been released.

The Cordele Dispatch will be working to keep the citizens up-to-date on any further details as they are provided.
