Crisp Middle School Football moves to 2-0

The Baby Cougars traveled to Americus in their annual game on Wednesday afternoon. The Cougars came away with overtime win over Americus. Playing to a 0-0 score through 4 quarters of play the Cougars and Panthers defenses were stout all game. The Panthers got the ball first in overtime and failed to score from 15 yards out. Then the Cougars got the ball and Marquez Palmer scored the games only points and the Cougars secured a 6-0 win. In the game Jaylin Epps, Rod Mason and Jeremiah Bolden all three had interceptions for the Cougars. Preston Lavant was named defensive player of the game and Pereci Gaines garnered the offensive player of the game accolades. “We have got to get our offense moving but this was an awesome defensive struggle and I am proud our boys didn’t quit.” With the win the Cougars move to 2-0 on the year.6
