OAKFIELD – Funeral services for Jeannine Chapman, 85, will be held Sunday, Oct. 2, 2016 at 3 p.m. at Oakfield Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016.

Mrs. Chapman died Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016 at PruittHealth – Sylvester. She was the daughter of the late Charles Walls and the late Evelyn Brogdon. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Chapman, and her son, Steven Chapman.

She was a member of Oakfield Baptist Church where she served at church treasurer. She loved to sew, read and spend time with her family. She was affectionately known to her family as “Goose.”

She is survived by her son, Charles (Patricia) Chapman of Orlando, Fla., and her daughter Carole (A. W.) Gill of Oakfield; eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-greatgrandson.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Oakfield Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
