Funeral services for SuAnna Hobbs Smith of Cordele will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday October 7, 2016 at Cordele First Baptist Church. The committal service will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Rainey Family Funeral Services. SuAnna, 41, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at her residence. A lifelong resident of Cordele, she was a dedicated nurse and an active member of Cordele First Baptist Church and the Crossroads Sunday School Class. SuAnna was a devoted Christian mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to all who knew her.  She exemplified what life on this earth is truly about.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her daughter, Annabelle, and her other children, Rich and Lilly.  She fought her battle with courage and exemplified the true picture of God’s grace. She is survived by her husband of 11 years, Matt Smith of Cordele;  her daughter, Annabelle Smith of Cordele;  her parents, Duain and Diane Moore Hobbs of Cordele; a sister and her husband, Macy and Kyle Young of Cordele; a nephew and niece, Rich Young and Lilly Young; her mother and father-in-law, Peggy and Herbert Smith of Plains; and a brother-in-law and his wife, Ken and Karen Smith of Americus. Flowers will be accepted but the family would appreciate memorials to the Oncology Department of Crisp Regional Hospital, 902 North 7th Street, Cordele, GA 31015.
