Ashburn – Sarah Marie Wilson McCard, 83, of Ashburn passed away Sunday, October 23, 2016 following an extended illness.

The family greeted friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday at the church.

Funeral services were Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at 3:00 p.m. in the Ashburn First Baptist Church with interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Born on March 26, 1933, to the late George Benjamin and Sarah Frances Ivey Wilson, she was a seamstress and a homemaker. She was also a member of High Hill Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, H. L. McCard, Jr., and a daughter, Lisa McCard.

She is survived by her children, Larry (Shirley) Musselwhite of Fitzgerald, Herman (Susan) McCard of Ashburn and Linda (Wayne) Nelson of Cordele; siblings, George B. Wilson, Jr. of Warner Robins, Hiram G. Wilson of Rebecca, Herman D. Wilson of Rebecca, William G. Wilson of Byron and Deena French of Knoxville, TN.; grandchildren, Adrienne Worley, Kristi Gilley, Pyper McCard, McKenna McCard, Larrianne Musselwhite, Felica Akins, Misty Elizabeth Musselwhite and Shirley Ann McCrimmon; great-grandchildren, Ansleigh Worley, Kelsey Musselwhite, Grace Gilley, Ayden Gilley, Kaylee Miller, Chip Warren and Robert Thompson; great-great-grandchild, Zendaya Musselwhite.
