Summerville, SC – Sara Jean Mooney, 65, wife of John Edward Mooney, of Summerville, SC, passed away Monday, October 31, 2016.

A burial service will be held at Seville Cemetery in Seville, GA. Visitation will be at Parks Funeral Home Thursday evening from 6 – 8 o’clock. Flowers will be accepted.

Sara was born May 23, 1951, in Cordele, GA, a daughter of the late Eugene Cook and the late Sara Ellen Tedders Barrs. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her loving husband of 40 years, John Mooney; 3 sons, Marcus Lee McCranie of Lewisville, TX, Joseph Scott McCranie, of Summerville, Michael Dennis Mooney of Columbia; her furry 4 legged daughter, Ali; two sisters, Janice Akins of Cordele, GA, Lisa Burnette of Warner Robbins, GA; and 2 grandchildren, Anna Elizabeth Mooney and Price Thomas Mooney.
