Betty Ann Coleman

CORDELE — Betty Ann Coleman, 81, passed away Sunday morning, Dec. 11, 2016 at Crisp Regional Hospital.  Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., Monday, Dec. 12, 2016 in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home. Pastor Matthew Shallenberger and Rev. Royce Freeman officiated. Burial followed at Sunnyside Cemetery. Honoring Mrs. Coleman by service as active pallbearers were Alan Odom, Steve Odom, Glen Chase, Richard Chase, Donald Chase and Andy Windham.

Marcene Freeman, pianist, played for the service. She also accompanied herself and Rev. Freeman as they sang “Precious Memories,” “When We All Get to Heaven” and “Just As I Am.”

Mrs. Coleman was born in Cordele, Ga. to the late Bertie Robert Rowland and the late Ellen Singletary Rowland. She is also preceded in death by her brother Jackson Rowland and her brother-in-law James Odom. She was retired from Cordele Uniform and member of the Oglethorpe Seventh Day Adventist Church.

She is survived by her son Tim (Rhonda) Coleman of Cordele; her sister Mamie Odom of Ashburn, Ga.; her grandchildren Tim Coleman, Jr. of Mesa Ariz. and Scotty (Sandie) Hall of Virginia; and her great-grandchildren: Levin Hall, Mark Coleman, Eric Coleman, Matt Coleman, Isla Hall and Mallin Hall.
